Confidence
"you need to have more confidence"

Somehow it seems as if everyone is telling me to be more confident, im not surprised. By nature, I'm afraid of failure. I dont usually put in my utmost effort if i think that i would not make it in something. This is bad...
I remembered that in a moment of carelessness, i marched wrongly in front of the whole school on the founders day parade rehearsal. After that, I became all upset over the matter, overcome with guilt for confusing the people behind me, for letting the unit, the teachers and myself down (first time i made that mistake in any marching, and it had to be in a parade in front of the school?!)...Until somebody came and told me it's time to get over with it and move on and that there was always Founders Day to make up for my mistake.
After which, I realised that he was right afterall (lol). Mustering all my confidence, I gave it my all, I guess everyone did the same, and it would not hurt to say that I, or WE marched rather splendidly during the Founders Day parade.
As for the venture contingent, I'm not so sure of what had happened as I was not there, thus I would be in no position to recount the event. All that I'm told is that someone from the band started playing really fast and the marching became messed up. Well despite the band being at fault, I feel that we should stop cursing and scolding them, neither make them bear the brunt of the blame for I think playing the beat for the entire marchpast is no child's play.
Well, after that I've got a different perspective of confidence, and yea confidence can be given from others, or it can simply be created from within. In times of dire need, you would find that confidence is one of your greatest assets...
Have I increased in confidence since last time? Well of course, and it wont stop just stop there, it'll just keep going on and on...and on again:)
And i know this is rather late but, Happy 121st Founder's Day!!
