The Calm before the Storm
Its approximately about 2hrs and 30 minutes to the Additional Mathematics Paper 1 and the first GCE O Level written paper (excluding Chinese).
And I'm not feeling scared...
I will keep calm and cool...despite the fact that I need to score at least 65/80 in this paper to be in a great position for an A1...
But lets not go into that yet...
Allow me to bring you all back about 1 year and 10 months ago...Somewhere in January.
I began with a fresh start in my sec3 year. My goal was to top the class in academics. Somehow, it didnt work well for me as i screwed up the year badly. I began blaming everyone around me, from the marking scheme to the disruptive class, when deep down I know the fault resides within me.
Yes, a pro is also one who handles himself well in defeat. That, I did not do.
Following that i screwed up the sec4 mid year.
But, I never gave up hope and I believed that I could recover...
Which I did eventually, where I made a comeback during the Term 3 tests and surprised everyone by not failing a single test and beating some people here and there.
Eventually, during the recent preliminary examinations, I got a whopping 11 points, tying with last year's top in class Jeremy Teo.
I believe that what I have which no one else had was the correct combination - determination, people who believe in me, teamwork (especially when the sec4s in clan spa/nspa tested each other online to learn from each others' mistakes), stubborness (yes, some people even said that i could give up hope but i wasnt ready to give in to them). And while those people who were top in class were busy fighting amongst themselves, all I had to do was catch up.
Ah now back to the present. O yes, Kimi Raikkonen won the world championship.
Rank outsider Kimi Raikkonen also had a hard time, but the advantage he had over the two maclaren drivers was Felipe Massa, the best team player when it comes to F1, something which the maclaren drivers can never understand. You can have the most skill but by the law of synergy, 1 + 1 > 2 or more. Going by this principle, maclaren have lost it all from the start of the world championship.
Now I'm really back to reality. Yes now its approximately 2 hrs to the paper. Wish me luck guys! (I hope I can do a Kimi Raikkonen haha)...
Note to everyone : Always do your best, and God will do the rest
