The Time is Now
Tomorrow will be another ordinary day for me, other than a special friend's birthday...
Still, I dont have a valentine so it's just ordinary. Haha.
Anyway in my opinion, valentines day is...ok lets make this as simple as possible - Total bullshit. Okay I've said the B word, so?
Valentines Day is over commercialised. It is more of a money making event than a romantic event. The price of a rose from $2 can increase all the way to $10 on the day itself. Restaurants start selling their Valentines Day menu and not anything else (the Valentines Day Menu costs a bomb). It's a big ripoff I tell you...
We don't need a valentines day to express our love to our crushes. I was thinking, why not now?
Carpe Diem. Seize the day. Why not we express our love now, instead of waiting till 12am?
Days like these are the reason why so many things are left unsaid, so many things left undone. Take valentines day for instance, we usually wait till then to express our love. However, what if we suddenly change our mind to express our love on the day itself due to unforseen circumstances when we could have done it earlier there and then, only to live with regret over that in many years to come.
If tomorrow never comes...
I think the ideal world should do away with days like valentines day. Every day should be the day where we live our life to the fullest and not wait for days like those to do it.
So if you're thinking of saying that simple "I love you" message, why not now?
