Good Friday - Easter Sunday
2nd post today...hmm...3 days of holiday in a row eh? alot of ppl would be making plans to do school work...play games...train in cca...go out...hang out with friends and stuff...
BUT...
Has anyone ever considered spending the time with the Lord? Most of us however take these 3 days of holiday as free time to do wadever we want...and nothings wrong with it...however...
do u noe how much pain and suffering our Lord Jesus Christ had to go through many years ago? Just to die for us and to pay for our sins...and in return most of us just treat this as a holiday and not care two hoots about what had happened...
but honestly...lets take this time to honour what our Lord has done for us and give him glory for all that he does...
and when u get a holiday like this...put some time aside to celebrate with the Lord...and know that what has happened is all his will...
So...what are u waiting for? Go thank the Lord for washing away our sins and maybe take it one step further and ask Him to forgive us on the way we view Good Friday as...
Just wondering...
I have a feeling that we may be a little too biased towards rugby...Its just a thought however so i mean no offence...i mean afterall i dont think there is anything wrong about that since the school has been winning in rugby for many years in a row...
Anyway...do you think the school places as much support on other sports as they did on rugby? most would say no but thats just based on opinion so you may have other views...
you know...our waterpolo and canoeing team did well too...but just cos we lost rugby we have been acting so negative...i mean come on no one has bothered to congratulate the gold medalists except through the PA system then everyone forgets about it...
why not lets take a moment or 2 and forget about the whole rugby issue and congratulate our sportsmen for bring back titles, regardless of sport and of medal(gold, silver, bronze)
just wondering why we place so much importance in rugby...
they did well, they didnt lose, they won a silver...not lost a gold...

First Class Hike
heh i handed up my first class hike report yesterday night...
looking back i remembered in term1 doing my first class hike report...rushing in it with little knowledge on how to do a simple prelim report lol...
hmm i can also remember the day before the first class hike i was route planning and buying the equipment list, i didnt have enuff sleep...however i didnt feel tired as i drank a few cans of coffee before the hike...lol
hmm wadever happened during the hike was really lame...we were lyk hiking without a compass and using the sun to point out where north is...which didnt quite work out our way...
anywayz...there are a few people i would lyk to thank for the hike...
Examiners Jon Zhang, Kevin Choy, Leng Seng and Zhen Yi for giving me such a huge extension up to thursday.
Mr Patrick Soo for letting us do the hike in the first place
David Tan for helping me with the route map and for letting me use his menu
Venture Chow Minyang for giving me tips for the hike
Fredric Thong and Ka Foo for making the hike meaningful to me and helping me throughout
Fredric again for agreeing to hike with me when i was short of companions
Last but not least, to our Almighty God who had made this hike possible and kept us going despite our injuries and keeping us together as a group no matter what...
All in all...First Class Hike was rather enjoyable...Loved it...
Now my fate of passing/failing lies on the exploration report...
Shall be praying to God...May his will be done on Earth as in Heaven...

Optimism
Interesting...Being optimistic really has its own benefits. Ever heard the story of Thomas Edison? If you were living around that time, you would say that he was the BIGGEST loser of all. He failed 1000 times trying to make a bulb light up. At every demonstration he'll fail so badly that people started to lose interest and jeer him, telling him that hes stoopid, dumb, wadever u can think of...
But do u noe when people asked him why he continues in his pursuit, his reply is that by failing to light the bulb 1000 times, he was in fact a 1000 steps closer in getting his results and he also said he has shown them 1000 ways on how not to light up a light bulb.
Optimism is hereby far more important than u think. Wad if he had listened to the others and stopped his experiments? We wont have light or anything...Wad a screwed life we'll be having now...
Therefore, lets respect the man Thomas Edison and learn to be as optimistic as he is....

Do not put off to tomorrow what can be done today
U've heard this saying many times...
Most people have...
But no one seems to be bothered by it?
How come?
Is it cos we think we would have more time and therefore can afford to slack?
Well, my in my opinion alot of ppl have been putting off to tomorrow what can be done today, and yes as you can guess i am one good example. Another bad habit of mine.
This saying applies very well for the First Class Hike Prelim Report. My group has gotten the task since term 1 and we could only finish (or so we think it is finished) it by this week. I cant blame anyone from my team as they didnt feel lyk doing first class in the first place but only can blame myself for not managing my tasks properly, giving the examiners more unnecessary stress, all cos i wanna do CCA in June.
I wonder what to do...
It would be evil and selfish of me to change companions. I dun think its worth making ppl have bad views on me all cos i wanna do CCA in June. And if i fail the hike, i dun stand to gain anything yet i would sever friendship ties.
I seriously dun noe what to do now...Perhaps im not deserving of CCA if i cant handle matters lyk this...CCA is more than just a hike, its also a test on leadership. Thus, i feel that im uneligible for the award.
Yet...I still try my very best and put in my 110% effort and make changes in my schedule in order to go for CCA.
Shall pray to God and rely on him during tough times lyk these.
I just hope that i can make the right decisions.

Guilt
Feel alot of guilt in my heart. Have i been offending some people and not know about it? If yes then in what way? Im mostly concerned if i have offended the Sec4 PLC in any way. I have heard that the sec4s have been complaining about the sec3s. Alot of sec3s feel that they are already in power as they were in charge of recruits camp and therefore would show open defiance and disrespect to the sec4s.
And you know what, I am very sure that i am no different.
I hope to change that characteristic about myself if need be. Lyk i said, the past is the past and cannot be changed, however the future is in my hands.
I hope to do as much as i can to change and become a better person overall and show more respect to others.
Imagination
Imagine. Imagine yourself sitting down closing your eyes. Next ur transported into the near future. Maybe 1 or 2 weeks? Imagine sitting there perhaps in my case, in a boring classroom...Not quite pleasing i assume.
Next you move forward a month or 2 in time. Imagine sitting for an examination feeling the anxiety. Imagine yourself ace the examination and score multiple A1s. You become the top scorer in class and your teacher praises you. Next you may have competitions in june. Imagine all the fans cheering for you. Now imagine you get gold and you see alot of people rushing up to hug you and congratulate you for your efforts. Perhaps for the scouts, imagine you have received your chief commissioner's award. Imagine the glory and respect your gonna get.
Now as we move forward 2 years in time. Here comes in my case the O levels...Once again you get straight As. Imagine everyone coming up to congratulate you. Imagine the joy of entering a top college or wadever.
Next imagine gratuating from university with say...A PhD...hah, now you get addressed as Dr...lol
Anyway as we move on lets say 10 years in time. Imagine yourself running a successful career. You are a multi-millionaire. You own a mansion with wadever facilites there are inside. You have the perfect spouse and great children, imagine how much they appreciate what you give them, and how much joy that brings into you.
Imagine your career has been so successful that you receive awards such as the nobel prize, acedemy awards, etc...Imagine, all your years of determination and hardwork has all paid off. Now imagine yourself giving a 5 min speech. You must be going,"What the hell?! a lifetime full of work and you have to sumarize it in 5 mins? What the f*** are u thinking man?"...Then after your speech as you walk back to your seat, u finally realise what "Tears of joy" really means.
Now imagine yourself standing tall and strong. Under you there is a pond. You see a reflection of yourself. Now imagine faces of your family members, loved ones and friends in the pond looking back at you smiling. Now place a finger into the pond and imaginine the ripples created. This is the effect of what your work has done on them.
FLASHBACK OVER...
Now there you are sitting in the present. Your present is a gift (thats why its called present, right? lol lame...) Now whatever you have done in the past, forget about it...Remember what you have imagined, all of it is possible. Not convinced? Wait till you hear that all inventions first started out with imagination. You've seen a space shuttle? You've seen a computer? You've seen a television? You've seen a telephone? You've seen a light blub? If you have asked those qns like around 100 - 200 years ago, the reply you get from most people would be,"are you retarded? go mental hospital fly kite lah!"...These negative comments shut out most ideas. However as you look back, those inventions have started out from pure fantasy, had our dearest inventors listened to those negative comments, we wont have knowledge of space, we wont have laptops or desktops, we wont have entertainment on screen, we'll have harder communication means, we would of course also be living in darkness without light. Yet these people do not take others' negative opinions into consideration and just did it anyway. And did we get all those inventions today? YES! So that means imagination is more important than most of you have ever thought. And remember again, all of those concepts have first started out with wild imaginations.
Now to end off the post before you get bored of hearing this retarded fella (me) ranting even more retarded stuff, i shall leave you with with familiar phrases. Your future is in your hands. As long as you have a goal towards your future, anythings possible!

Before I go any crazier, some of u all may think im spastic or retarded, but that is the power of imagination. Between imagination and knowledge, i'd rank imagination as no.1...Why? Knowledge is limited...However imagination is infinite.
Not convinced of the power of IMAGINATION? lemme convince you in my next few posts.
