The First Wave...

Lol the attack of the homework...Each teacher claims to give very little homework (averaging 2 pieces of assignment each)...but u see...9 x 2...18 pieces of assignment to complete this weekend...i have to do 9 per day!!

Interesting concepts i learnt these past few days...I find that im pushing myself a lot harder this year...mainly due to my class teacher's quote "Nothing will be done, if you wait till u could do it so well, that no one can fault you with it" (or something like that lar)... it means that making mistakes is part of human life, if you wait till you are perfect in something before you start on it (which sounds ridiculous), nothing will be done...

Last year, I found myself afraid of certain particular subjects, and i didnt even try improving due to myself thinking that I'll always fail...this year i realise - you try and try and you fail, you try and try and you fail again...but you only fail if you stop trying...

I then tried again...doing my best...i managed to do rather well in my subjects now...yes and i'll keep improving for the best is yet to be...

Ever heard of the Chinese Bamboo plant? you water it daily for 1 year and i doesnt grow, you water it daily for a 2nd year and nothing happens, after 4 years, nothing happens...

To the untrained eye, the person who plants it would seem like a fool...

After the 5th year, it grows 90 feet in 3 months...

A lot of the work we were going to do wouldn't see fruit for a while, people would call us stupid for putting in so much effort and yet not receiving any rewards (most likely due to other weird factors involved)...but if we keep doing it right, eventually, success will follow...

Right now, there are some dreams I'm still chasing, 4 years...nothing...(sec1 to sec4)...academically, ccas, socially, etc...so much effort, and people still ridicule me for losing out to people who have clearly put in less effort...some feel sorry for me and take pity on me wanting action to be taken...i dunno how people view me cos different ppl view me differently due to my split personality...anyway I'll tell them not to worry for the fruits of my labour would be inevitable, despite it a painstakingly long process...

Post LDP

Back to civilization. Lol. LDP is still fresh on everyones' mind. Everyone especially recalls Instructor Mun. Somehow, almost the whole school now knows about him, despite this being a sec4 only event. And yes, the teachers all think that Kluang was heaven.

2 days ago on Thursday, something weird happened. It was when my CT was giving out chocolates for the clan leaders. There was an extra box of chocolates. Then one of my classmates told the teacher that I was a master of navigation (actually the only master of navigation i know personally is the chowzy). I felt quite flattered, lol. The teachers decided to give it to me (of cuz i gave all of the chocolates away, due to the fact that it didnt feel right to accept). The weird thing was cos my group was 4th (actually due to the losing of the clue...darn). The weirder thing is that little things like this can have a great impact on people lol. Nonetheless, I'm glad that Scouts has taught me well enough and that people see me as a great navigator and scout (even though i dun think I am, the route was super easy anyway).

Yes little things come together to form the bigger picture, get the picture?

Anyway, heres a special note to someone, you know who you are, i doubt u'd be reading this anyway, but oh well...
I know it is natural for siblings to wanna kill each other at times, but you should try to be nicer to ur bro, afterall hes young and stupid(lol) and does not know what hes doing. Anyway you have to learn to get along, cos he'll be ur bro for life whether you like it or not. Thats all i shall say.

LDP photos would be up soon on my blog once i have received them from my teachers. Now time to permutate stuff :-)

LDP 2007

Day 1:
Cute Little Me goes to school. Reporting time supposed to be at 7am, but he reached at half past seven. Still, a lot of ppl hadnt reported yet so he was still considered early...Lolz...

He was about to board his bus, but through some unknown circumstances, he had to board last. He watched sec2s do PE to pass the time. He saw cute little Brian Chan running his 2.4km practice. Lol, so slow...FASTER LAH!!!

The bus finally came. It was unbelievably long. People were playing bridge and tai dee, but poor little me only knows how to play poker and bluff. So to pass the time, he looks through his bag. Somehow he has remnants of his CCA route map and his POCKET GUIDE TO KNOTS. Lolz. He eats lovely energy bars, of which be brought 20(not much, u can only eat about 3 per day)...

B4 passing the causeway, cute little me tried to call one of his friends, but he kept hanging up. And he has a friggin holiday that day since his flight to his OEP was at 4pm. But nvm. Anyway customs felt super boring cos queue was uber long. After passing through after such a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG queue, it was another LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG ride to the next stop.

Finally, the bus stopped at yong peng (lucky garden) pit stop. Cute little me has mee rebus, little does he know that this would be his last decent meal for a loooong time. He also bought BBQ chips and Tomato flavoured twisties in which the former would be eaten in the bus and the latter would be ganged by his bunkmates.

After another LOOOOOOOOOOOONG ride, the bus stopped at Nusa Dusun Resort. Why is it even a resort? I oso have no idea. In msia, everywhere is a resort. Me goes to his super hot bunk., it was lyk an oven inside. Then it was cheer practice, the cheer was gay to the core, but still it's better to learn it. Then some cute little instructor who is not so cute and neither is he little appears and asks us to fall in. Panthers of course were the first group to arrive but we were pumped and made to hold it there till the other clans come. That is why the early worm is for the birds.

Then it was dinner next. Guess wad, picture the fried fish which you get with nasi lemak. Cut out the head and eat it with rice and weird vegatable soup which shd be known as vegetables with water. Well after that, cute little me goes to bathe way after lights out and then sleeps. Not really sleep, some weird stuff happened that night, in which details would not be released. What can I say? It was burning hot in the bunk afterall...

Day 2:
Had lousy breakfast. And then it was rock climbing. Not many people could complete the hard wall. He wasnt happy that he realised to late that an easier wall, there was. Anyway lunch was better than the first day, but not much better. Well at least "a bit" is better than "nothing at all".

After that, RAIN RAIN RAIN. Free at last to play in the rain, He explored the campsite. he went to Rodney's bunk. At least, people who played BLUFF!! He owned them with his bluff face of course. The key to winning in bluff is faking the truth to fake them by faking your fake look. Fake them off thier feet, you will. Lol. He also did not realise that there was tea time in which biscuits and free ICE MILO was in the dining area. Cool. No one else knew, knowledge is power. Monopolisation of knowledge is key to ensuring success. Yes, success in filling his stomach.

After rain, DINNER...Lol. Nothing much to say cos treasure hunt was retarded other than the fact that he got 10 points for the grp when singing during the treasure hunt. After that, sleep...The not so cute and not so little instructor was doing sentry duty. He was wearing a hood like Darth Sidious and was pointing his parang about. He was also playing music. Scary, Me thought there was a pontianak given the way his hood blended with the shadows and such music playing at such a late time in the night (or morning?).

Day 3:
High elements course that day. He wanted to do, but the people froze too much in the air, so poor him could not do. @!#$#%^& them all!!

Then it was area cleaning. He found out more about the not so cute and not so little instructor. The big black guy's name is Mun, a.k.a. Buffy the Wild Boar Slayer. He carries 3 parangs wherever he goes and has scars on his chest. He hasnt slept during those days he was here, not even one bit. Yet he is super energetic. He is a special ops commando from Singapore, yes all the instructors are Singaporean. The instructors bring him along to protect the place. Lolz, i wonder what a special ops commando is doing training students when he shd be training soldiers. Oh well...shant go into detail.

Next it was quite a long bus ride to some forested area to sleep in tents. Animal clans vs human clans in cheering, human clans didnt just beat animals, they pwned their ass badly. Anyway wont go into much detail. Animal clans met instructos Jack and Jill. Opps, i mean Jacqueline (girl who tries to be a guy by having short hair and talking in a low voice) and John (guy who talks in a high pitch voice and wears an ear ring on his left ear).

Nothing much else happened this day other than the fact that the tents were burning hot. Oh yes, ice cream is nice.

Day 4:
Navigation in the morning. He was made the group navigator. The group by right finished first, but due to losing the clue, they had to finish last. Sad. Oh and trekking through the forest with shorts is a bad idea, but wad can I say? It was hot. He almost didnt wanna wear a shirt anyway lol...jk...

Then it was kayaking in the afternoon. He and he got 7 water bombs in total. After that it was muddy time. Mud mud mud, and yes he was one of the unlucky ones saboed.

Cooking at night, me was made the chef...anyway food was decent and better than the other meals. Mmmm...nice...then sleep in burning hot tents. Prepare for the next day.

Day 5:
Tent unpitching is hard, yes, i shant go into much detail, but why must they find EVERY PEG?! I mean, pegs are supposed to be easily lost rite?! Serves the organisers right for not packing extra.

Anyway, everyone thought that the activity was cancelled due to lack of time. But actually it as due to animal clan's lack of preparation for the war, yes their water bombs werent ready. Human clans were fully prepared and brimming with energy.

Went there for war games. Animals were more evenly matched with the humans and could easily surpass them in cheering. Anyway one word for the war games : Messy. Wont go into such detail. Human clans were big time cheaters but they wont admit it, anyway who will? What could teachers do anyway? They wanna end up with a tie or else there would be eternal conflicts between humans and animals without end. In the end, it was panthers vs titans. Panthers pwned their asses. Yay. But tie? Wtf is a tie...It is something we wear around our neck...lolz

After that, it was the nicest meal ever in a long time, ramly burgers!! Nice cold drinks!! Ooo...well me slept through eragon, a super boring movie.

Day 6:
Bye bye nusa dusun resort. Bye Bye Kuala Linggi. Bye Bye lousy meals. Bye Bye burning hot accomodations. Bye Bye Instructors. Bye Bye especially Jack and Jill, and of course Mun.

Me is tired now. In fact, Cute Little me is tired at this point of typing his post. So Cute Little me is going to his Cute Little bed now, but not before he takes his cute little drinks and eats to his cute little fill.

But wait, most importantly, not before remembering and recounting everything which happened those past few days. All the suffering they took as one, all the time working as a team, all the ups and downs, wadever it is, all the strong bonds they forged. LDP will forever be etched in his mind.

And to all the 4.3 people, He has just one message : May the ahbooze be with you.

2006 Report

Lets start from the beginning. Term 1. I was still at the APR Thailand Jamboree during Jan 1st in 2006. I was enjoying myself so much. Then it was time to go back to school. I met my new classmates. O...wad a screwed class i felt, all the...outspoken ppl there...Its weird, when i returned from overseas, in less than 2 weeks i had to go for OEP Shanghai. Quite good. I started to like my class a lot better :) Anyway the academic part of the year by right started after OEP. Lol. School wasnt good, I had difficulty coping. Term 1 tests were lyk...very hard. Confusing. Had difficulty doing. Only barely got pass grades. This was also the period of the parades...Why? Scouts Day and Founders Day. It was such an honor to be part of the GOH contingent. But then i found out it was harder than I thought. But in the end, practice makes perfect and only the band screwed up for Founders Day :P

Then came term 2. I found it difficult to cope. Lets not say much, but I ended up failing 6 subjects though i dunno how. I did a lot better in sec1 and sec2...at least 70%...Then I had to fail 6 subjects for mid year. My teachers told me that I wasnt answering the qns the sec3 way. That made me do quite a bit of thinking...Just cos it works doesnt mean it's the perfect way...I learnt it the hard way by answering the questions like how i answered in sec1 and 2 (when I did well doing that)...And i was so enthu abou going for the CCA award. I always wanted the "Lion Face Badge" since sec1. Anyway i didnt do well enough for my Preliminary Report. Well so that quite sums up term 2.

Next term 3 came. Quite a fast term. Came and gone very fast. This term was mainly spent studying. I wasnt quite familiar with my school work still so I put whatever remaining time I had into deep studing. O yes and did u know that I took part in my second dota competition here, but somehow we got disqualified. Dun wanna talk much abou it.

Then term 4 came. I was quite ready for my exams. All my studying paid off. In the end, I didnt fail anything (yes you know wad i mean by in the end), and was promoted to year 4 express, of course being able to keep all 9 subjects:). My CT even gave me a bookmark as an...errm...token of appreciation for my effort in studying.

After Term 4, I went for CCA. I managed to pass prelims but i dont think i did well enough to pass the hike. Lack of time management skills i guess. Learnt it the hard way again.

Anyway I'd like to thank God for all that i had this year. I initially wanted to make a list of things to thank God for the year, however it would then be as tall as a HDB flat. So to make it short, I wanna thank God for all things good and bad. For being with me throughout everything. For giving me blessings in disguise, (failing 6 subjects during mid year in my opinion is an example of a blessing in disguise to tell me to be more open to new ways of answering questions and not to stick to my sec1 and 2 methods) for giving me such a great class, for giving me such good frenz, for giving me a loving family, hmm lets just end here before I get too...elaborative:)

And heres part of the post from my good friend's blog:
New years are a chance for a beginning
Even when there hasn't been an end.
Wheels turn in an interminable bend,
Yet, marked in one spot, seem to wobble spinning.
Each year we hope to do a little better
Although we know that really nothing's changed.
Reason thinks that everything's arranged,So we must dream if we would fate unfetter

And of course, Thank God for 2007. God Bless.
