How Time Flies
It's really amazing how time flies. As everyone can see, I have not made a blog post since 7th May. This is not because I have nothing to post, but time just moves so fast that I just can't seem to keep up. In just a blink of an eye, I find myself already halfway through the year and in the middle of my mid year common tests. Oh, and did I forget to mention, my birthday is coming up in just a few hours time!
So much has happened, and I have experienced the good, the bad and the ugly. With news such as H1N1, and even Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett passing away, it does show that even the world around us is rather happening. I must say that this is a messy world, with too many distractions around. I'm quite amazed that I have managed to make it this far. I really can't wait to complete this phase of my life on a high.
I've always wanted to be a 45 pointer for IB. But just yesterday, I sat through a really traumatising Economics Paper 1 and I fell into despair. I'm serious, it sure sounds stupid to be almost in tears after a paper...but it happened to me. To add salt into the wounds, I went home to read a rather saddening blog post from one of my close friends. I was really down. Such things do take a toll on me mentally.
And then, I rememebered that true friends are like stars. Or maybe like the moon, as Rodney says. In the day when everything is bright and things are looking up, you can't really see them. I'm very thankful to have such great friends who have came up to comfort me after such a bad day. As well as all the other days when I needed a shoulder to cry on, they'll always come up to lend me a hand. I love all my close friends very much. My family have always been really supportive of me, and I love them all. Oh and to my DOTA team, I've really enjoyed all the late night dota sessions! Haha!
Last but not least, I must really give thanks to my best friend up above, none other than God. Words can never describe how much He has guided me through this hectic year. Despite the fact that God loves me so deeply, I know I've not been the best of His people, and I find myself doing things that He would not feel proud of. Nonetheless, I'll like to fulful my desire to honour God above all others. Slowly, but surely, I know I'll get there.
I know, I know, I've got so many people to acknowledge. But lets keep it here. Life has to go on.
There's still an examination tomorrow...
and it is rumoured to be the hardest I'll ever do in my life up to now.
But. I am ready for it!
Bring on my birthday exam!
